‘F’ (Sphinx) Battery , Royal Horse Artillery

'F' Battery, Royal Horse Artillery, in a formal staged photo, most likely after the awarding of the 'Sphinx' honour title on 18th October 1926. My Great Grandfather served with 'F' Battery whilst he was in Egypt, this photo is part of his archive.

The honour title Sphinx was awarded to the Battery for services in the 1801 campaign against Napoleon's Army in Egypt.
